an outshining

veil dissolving from my mind
spirit man splayed like a flare,
a scream of light shooting from that cardboard casing
only lit once a year
luminous ladder shining always up and down,
into the earth
splitting it open with the scream
of the light,
living, active and splitting me,
discerning me,
for i must be
dissolved
